School Rules

Be the Best you, you can be!

Be Respectful!

Class Routines to be aware of:

Weekly Spelling/Daily Reading:

Reading books will be updated every Wednesday, please ensure your child reads at home and brings their book to school on a Wednesday to be updated.

We also ask that pupils use the spelling section on Reading Eggs to help develop their spelling and learn the spelling rules, as we will be focussing on these in school. At this moment in time there will not be a weekly spelling test.

PE: The PE day in Dosbarth Gwyrdd is every Wednesday afternoon. PE kit should be black tracksuit bottoms/shorts/leggings and a white/black t shirt as well as suitable footwear. (No brightly coloured football kits are to be worn)

Seesaw (home learning):

As most parents are already aware we use Seesaw as a platform to showcase work your child completes in school as well as assigned homework tasks and as a form of communication between the parent and teacher.

QR code logins have been sent home with your child, if you do have any issues please contact myself during the school day or on school pick up.

Keep an eye out for photos on Twitter to see what fun your child is having in school!

Maths:

Big Maths: Pupils will continue to undertake weekly Big Maths tests in class. Example tests will be sent home for pupils to practise the questions and reinforce their understanding. I am particularly keen to focus on improving the “Learn It’s” scores this term as this will help pupils with more difficult concepts.

Below you will find example tests for each CLIC
